Amber Lowe is the head swim coach, as well as the aquatics director, at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota—a position she has held since the start of the 2015-2016 academic school year. Since the 2015-2016 season, Lowe has coached the team to 12 school records, and 96 current all-time Top 10 performances in program history.

Prior to her arrival at Saint Mary’s, Lowe was the academic advisor for grades 9-12 for iQ Academy of Minnesota, while also serving as a member of the Fergus Falls High School girls’ swimming and diving program, as well as the head senior coach of the Fergus Falls Swim Club.

Lowe, the former Amber Bartholomew, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Human Development. As a student-athlete, Lowe led the Phoenix to three Horizon League team titles, while also being crowned Horizon League Champion in the 200 IM (2010) and 400 IM (2012). The school record-holder in both the 200 IM and 400 IM, earned Division I All-American honors, as well as the team’s Most Valuable Athlete award, following the 2012 season, and was a four-time All Horizon League selection.

Lowe lives in Winona with her husband, TJ, and their dog, Cookie.
