MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The new year didn't come in quite the way the old went out for the Saint Mary's University men's basketball team. The Cardinals closed out 1998 with an 80-71 win over Carleton, but dropped their first game of 1999, falling to Augsburg 69-62.
