NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Karen Fricke came off the bench and scored a career-high 18 points as Carleton rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to beat the Saint Mary's University women's basketball team 69-55 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals, who had their two-game winning streak snapped, shot a blistering 70 percent from the field (16-for-23) in the first half en route to a 34-29 halftime advantage. In the second half, however, the Cardinals managed just six field goals and scored just 21 points in suffering their third conference loss in seven games.

Jenny Gilles (Keizer, Ore.) scored a team-high 15 pionts and Jenny Rihm (Woodbury, Minn.) chipped in 12 as SMU's overall record evened to 5-5.

Angie Grabowski netted 15 points and Linnea Engel added 14 as the Knights (6-1 MIAC, 8-2 overall) won for a school-record sixth straight time.
