Game Summary

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Missy Westergren (Lonsdale, Minn.) and Chiristy Hicks (Bloomington, Minn.) each scored three goals and Tennie McCabe (Rochester, Minn.) added two goals and an assist as the Saint Mary's University women's hockey team rolled to an 11-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over Bethel Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals, who beat the Royals 10-2 in the teams' first meeting on Thursday, opened a 3-1 first period lead on goals by Westergren, Hicks and Laura Wyness (Chicago, Ill.) — and then the floodgates opened.

Hicks, McCabe, Westergren and Kelly O'Neil (Richfield, Minn.) netted second-period goals, while Westergren, Hicks and Emily Kearns (Hopkins, Minn.) found the net in the third period. The goal by Kearns was her fifth in two games against the Royals.

Missie Meemken (St. Cloud, Minn.) stopped 30 of the Royals' 31 shots to post the win in goal for the Cardinals, who improved to 6-2 in the MIAC and 10-4 overall.
