Jenny Gilles (Keizer, Ore.) scored 12 points and
Colleen O'Hearn (Champlin, Minn.) added 11 as the Saint Mary's University women's basketball team picked up its second straight win, beating St. Olaf 51-46 Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals offense struggled against the Oles, hitting just 21 of 62 field goal attempts (34 percent), but the SMU defense was in top form, holding St. Olaf (4-7 MIAC, 6-8 overall) to just 14 first-half points and 31 percent shooting (17 of 54).
Along with her team-high 12 points, Gilles also pulled down a team-leading seven rebounds for the Cardinals (5-6, 7-7).
