ST. PAUL, Minn. — The St. Thomas women's basketball team ran its winning streak over Saint Mary's to 32 straight Wednesday evening, as the Tommies used a 59-25 second-half run to beat the Cardinals 89-47 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game.
Jaimie Lee (Eden Prairie, Minn.) netted 15 points and
Jenny Rihm (Woodbury, Minn.) chipped in 12 rebounds to lead the Cardinals (2-2 MIAC, 3-4 overall), who kept the game close through the first 20 minutes, trailing by just eight, 30-22, at the half.
Missy Pederson netted a game-high 21 points for St. Thomas (4-1, 6-1), including five 3-pointers in the second half as the Tommies put the game out of reach with a 12-0 run to open the second half.
