Game Summary

WINONA, Minn. — Tennie McCabe (Rochester, Minn.) scored all three Saint Mary's University goals and Missie Meemken (St. Cloud, Minn.) recorded a 35-save shutout as the Cardinals women's hockey team beat Gustavus 3-0 Sunday afternoon at the SMU Ice Arena.

McCabe scored twice in the first period and once in the third en route to the hat trick, while Meemken kept busy in the first two periods, stopping 14 shots in each en route to the shutout.

McCabe's linemates, Christy Hicks (Bloomington, Minn.) and Emily Kearns (Hopkins, Minn.) each picked up a pair of assists.

The win avenges Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Gusties, and moves the Cardinals to 5-2-0 in the MIAC and 9-5-0 overall. Gustavus, meanwhile, falls to 6-2-0 in the MIAC and 7-2-0 overall
