Big second half carries Puget Sound

TACOMA, Wash. — The Saint Mary's University men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday, as the Cardinals dropped a 100-84 decision to hos Puget Sound in the Tip-Off Classic.

The Loggers, who trailed 43-42 at the half, shot a blistering 65 percent and scored 58 points in the second half to earn the come-from-behnd win.

Nick Michaels (Dyer, Ind.) led the Cardinals with a game-high 23 points, while Jason Dzick (Duluth, Minn.) added 15 and Lance Larson (Lakeville, Minn.) finished with 11.

Matt Glynn led Puget Sound with 23 points and added eight assists and six rebounds. Aubrey Shelton tossed in 19 points and Brason Alexxander finished with 16.
