Game Summary

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Stacy Hammel (Manitowoc, Wis.) scored 16 points and Jaimie Lee (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Jamie Rattunde (Rollingstone, Minn.) each scored 15 as the Saint Mary's University women's basketball team posted its second straight Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory Saturday afternoon with an 84-63 win over St. Catherine.

The Cardinals, who opened conference play with a 76-70 win over Bethel last Wednesday, also got double-figure scoring from Amy Burns (Winona, Minn.) and Allissa Erichsen (Spring Valley, Minn.) as the two netted 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Cardinals raced out to a 10-point, 43-33, halftrime advantage, thanks in large part to an 18-for-36 performance from the field — including a 3-for-4 effort from beyond the 3-point line.

SMU continued to pour it on in the second half, hitting 59.3 percent of its field goals (16-for-27) to ice the win.

Along with her 16 points, Hammel also added a game-high nine rebounds, while Kate Stodolka's 14 points led the way for St. Catherine.
