WINONA, Minn. — Shyla Wilson stopped 37 shots as
Concordia snapped the Saint Mary's University women's hockey team's nine-game winning streak with a
3-0 victory Saturday afternoon at the SMU Ice Arena.
Wilson, who finished with 38 saves in the Cobbers'
4-2 loss to SMU on Friday, was unbeatable in the teams' rematch, kicking out 12 shots in the first period, 10 in the second and 15 in the third.
After a scoreless first period, Sandra Johansson put the Cobbers on the board at the 8:45 mark of the second period. Christine Kleven and Katie Jacques added third-period goals as the Cobbers dropped the Cardinals into second place in the conference standings.
Missie Meemken (St. Cloud, Minn.) finished with 15 saves in the losing effort for the Cardinals, who lost on their home ice for the first time in 10 games.
