HILTON HEAD, S.C. — It may have been a neutral site, but the St. John's men's tennis team seemed right at home as the Johnnies swept past Saint Mary's Unviersity 7-0 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match Thursday morning.

"It was a disappointing match," admitted SMU coach Jeff Halberg. "We had a poor start and were never able to get on track."

The Johnnies won five of the six singles matches in straight sets, not allowing SMU to win more than three games in any of the five matches. Jason Boll (Sauk Prairie, Wis.) turned in the best performance of the day, taking SJU's Shawn Borg to three sets before falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
