ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Matt Domarus (Woodbury, Minn.) drove in four runs — two on a double in a four-run sixth inning in Game 1 and the other two on a third-inning home run to spark a three-run outburst in Game 2 — as the Saint Mary's University baseball team posted a key Minneesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep over St. John's Tuesday afternoon.

Domarus and Joe Duda (Rochester, Minn.) each blasted two-run doubles in the Cardinals' four-run sixth in Game 1, as SMU raced to a 5-3 victory. Domarus then highlighted the Cardinals' three-run third inning with a two-run HR as SMU completed the sweep with a 4-2 win.

Eric Williamson (St. Charles, Minn.) pitched the first six innings to pick up the win in the opener, allowing just one run on five hits, while striking out seven and walking one. Chuck Wright (Winona, Minn.) pitched the seventh, surrendering a pair of runs on a two-out, two-run home run by Jed Riegelman. Cory Kanz (Oronoco, Minn.) earned the win in the nightcap, matching his Game 1 counterpart nearly pitch-for-pitch, as he surrendered two runs on six hits, walking two and striking out one. Nick Steig (Osseo, Wis.) earned the Game 2 save with one inning of scoreless relief.

Six different SMU players — Duda, Domarus, Scott Morrison (St. Paul, Minn.), David McMahon (Coon Rapids, Minn.), Rob Kimlinger (Lake Elmo, Minn.) and Tony Cicalello (St. Paul, Minn.) — each picked up a hit in the opener, while Domarus' 2-for-3 effort highlighted the Cardinals' four-hit attack in Game 2. Greg Setterlund (St. Paul, Minn.) and Kimlinger accounted for the other two hits
