ST. PAUL, Minn. — Macalester swept all six singles matches en route to a 6-1 Minnesota Inntercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over the Saint Mary's University men's tennis team Saturday afternoon.
The Scots swept five of the six singles matches in straight sets, with
Jason Boll (Sauk Prairie, Wis.) losing a heartbreaking 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) at No. 4 singles. The Cardinals picked up their lone team point, winning two of the three doubles matches.
Geoff Granseth (Winona, Minn.) and
Brad Reichuber (Mahtomedi, Minn.) won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, while Drew Jackola (Chishom, Minn.) and Boll won 9-8 (7-2) at No. 2.
