WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's tennis team ran into a buzz-saw Tuesday evening as St. Olaf rolled past the Cardinals 9-0 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match.
SMU's
Kim Bennett (Fort Dodge, Iowa) dropped her third straight three-set match at No. 3 singles, falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. No other Cardinal singles player won a set. Bennett and
Nicole Hilo (Mendota Heights, Minn.) also turned in SMU's best doubles effort, falling 8-5 at No. 1.
The Cardinals, who fall to 2-5 in the MIAC and 2-6 overall, return to action Monday, when they take on Cabrini at Hilton Head, S.C.
