Game Summary

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Last Wednesday, Saint Mary's University women's basketball coach Dan Messmann was dreading the thought of playing five straight road games — especially considering the fact that his Cardinals' were 0-6 away from the SMU gym.

Three straight wins — including a 58-46 win over Concordia Monday — has Messmann singing a slightly different tune.

"On the road again … I just can't wait to get on the road again …."

Jamie Rattunde (Rollingstone, Minn.) was a perfect 8-for-8 from the field en route to a game-high 21 points as SMU pushed its season-high winning streak to three and won for the fourth time in five games. Rattunde also pulled down nine rebounds, dished out six assists and recorded seven steals, while Jaimie Lee (Eden Prairie, Minn.) chipped in 11 points.

Concordia (6-5 MIAC, 8-6) held a slim, 20-18 lead at halftime, but the Cardinals responded by scoring 10 of the first 12 points in the second half. and never looked back. The Cobbers closed to within six, 48-42, with 3:24 remaining, but SMU (6-6 MIAC, 6-9 overall) responded with a 10-4 run to put the game away.
