NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Nicole Bohn (Winona, Minn.) did her part Saturday afternoon, stopping 16 St. Olaf shots.

The problem was, the Saint Mary's University women's soccer team didn't give their freshman goalkeeper any offensive support, as the Oles — fueled by a three-goal first half that included two goals three minutes apart late in the half – handed SMU a 5-0 MIAC setback.

"I thought we played really hard," said SMU coach Dan Blank, whose team fell to 0-2 in the MIAC and 1-6 overall. "But I'm not sure a 5-0 score really shows that."

St. Olaf held a 21-5 advantage in shots on goal, and made good on shots by Kaia Knutson, Ashley Mark and Liz Tanner in the first half, and Tanner and Amy Odland in the second half.
