Match Summary

NORTHFIELD, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University volleyball team entered Wednesday's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match having dropped two straight.

In fact, the Cardinals spent an entire week stewing over that second straight loss — a 3-1 setback on their home floor against St. Thomas last Wednesday.

That proved to be bad news for St. Olaf.

The Cardinals took out their frustrations on the Oles Wednesday, cruising to a streak-snapping 3-0 (30-21, 30-26, 30-24) victory.

Ashley Dingels (Gibbon, Minn.) led the way for the Cardinals, collecting a match-high 13 kills, while also hitting a whopping .520 and posting six blocks. Kirstan Rouzer (Comstock, Wis.) chipped in 11 kills and 11 digs, while Megan Roesler (St. Paul, Minn.) finished with 10 kills. Desiree Larson (Blaine, Minn.) tallied a team-high 16 digs, with Tessa Stranik (Eatonville, Wash.) dishing out 42 assists).
