ARDEN HILLS, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's tennis team made it look easy Friday afternoon, as the Cardinals swept all six singles matches en route to an 8-1 nonconference victory over Northwestern.
"Everyone on the squad contributed to this win, which was a nice bonus," said SMU coach
Jeff Halberg, whose team improved to 7-10 overall and snapped a three-match losing streak in the process. "We played some really solid tennis throughout, and hopefully we can carry that over into (Saturday's regular-season finale) against St. Olaf."
Tyler Stevenson (Neenah, Wis.) won his sixth straight match and improved to 14-3 at No. 1 singles with a straight-set win, while
Mark Leeder (Greenfield, Wis.),

Kevin Wriskey (White Bear Lake, Minn.) were also straight-set singles winners.
Adam Solseth (Shakopee, Minn.) completed the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-7, 10-7 win at No. 5.
