Last Action: The Cardinals have not played since Dec. 10, when St. Thomas held SMU to just 18 first-half points and scored more points in the opening 20 minutes (58) than the Cardinals did the entire game (40), as the Tommies rolled to a
102-40 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory. … Coe, meanwhile, closed out its two-game appearance at the Redlands Tournament with a
67-58 victory over host Redlands on Dec. 20.
Last Meeting: SMU raced out to a 14-point halftime lead — the first time in its opening seven games that SMU had led at the break — and while playing with a commanding lead wasn't something the Cardinals were all that familiar with, they looked like seasoned veterans, never letting Coe closer than eight points in the second half en route to their first win of the season, a
72-62 decision at the SMU Gym on Jan. 2, 2008.
All-Time Series Record: Last year's meeting in Winona was the first ever between Saint Mary's and Coe.
