: The Cardinals have been off since Nov. 21-22, when SMU picked up three of a possible four conference points in its two-game MIAC series against Concordia at the SMU Ice Arena. Andy Roberts (Rochester, Minn.) scored less than two minutes into overtime to lift SMU to a 6-5 victory over the Cobbers on Friday, while the two teams battled to a 3-3 OT tie the following afternoon. … Hamline, meanwhile, pushed its record to 7-2-0 with a 6-4 nonconference win over UM-Crookston Sunday.

A Year Ago: Hamline took both games of their two-game series a year ago, outscoring the Cardinals 8-5 in the first game — despite a pair of goals from SMU's Mike Glaesmer (Traverse City, Mich.) — then held SMU to a Morgan Shepherd (Brainerd, Minn.) goal in winning the rematch 3-1.

All-Time Series Record: Despite their two losses a year ago, SMU owns a 60-15-0 record all time against the Pipers. The Cardinals' 60 wins vs. Hamline are SMU's most vs. any conference opponent.

Cardinal Notes: The Cardinals' 6-5 win over Concordia on Nov. 21 snapped the team's season-opening six-game losing streak. The last time SMU opened the season winless in its first six games was 2005-06, when the Cardinals opened 0-5-1. … The Cardinals 6-5 victory over the Cobbers was SMU's first overtime victory since a 5-4 victory over Hamline on Jan. 26, 2007. … SMU's two OT games vs. Concordia were the Cardinals' first back-to-back overtime games since the 1999-2000 season, when they opened the season with a 3-3 tie and a 4-3 loss. …  SMU's first six games have all been against nationally ranked opponents. Hamline has not lost since a 3-0 decision vs. St. Scholastica on Nov. 8. … Hamline has scored 31 goals during its five-game winning streak, including a season-high nine goals vs. Concordia on Nov. 14. … Dustin Fulton scored two goals and added an assist vs. UM-Crookston, while Chris Berenguer tallied three assists vs. the Eagles.  … Berenguer's three assists vs. UM-Crookston extended his team assist lead to 11.
