: Ingrid Klockars (Wheaton, Ill.) scored two goals and Erin Johnson-Buscemi (Medina, Minn.) stopped 25 of the 26 shots she faced in her first collegiate start, as the Cardinals slipped past St. Catherine 3-1 at the SMU Ice Arena Friday. St. Catherine turned the tables in Saturday's rematch, beating SMU 5-0 in St. Paul, Minn. … St. Olaf, meanwhile, picked up three of a possible four conference points vs. Hamline with a 4-3 win and a 4-4 tie last weekend, then dropped a 3-0 decision to UW-Stevens Point on Tuesday.

A Year Ago: The Cardinals swept the teams' two-game series a year ago, beating the Oles by identical 5-4 scores. Ingrid Klockars (Wheaton, Ill.) scored two goals — including the game-winner with less than four minutes remaining in regulation — as the Cardinals topped St. Olaf 5-4 at the SMU Ice Arena on Feb. 1. In the rematch the following day in Northfield, Minn., SMU got scoring from five different players and Brittany Lemke stopped 48 shots in the Cardinals' second 5-4 win.

Cardinal Notes: Friday's win over St. Catherine snapped the Cardinals' two-game losing streak. … Ingrid Klockars (Wheaton, Ill.) scored her team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the season vs. the Wildcats Friday. It was Klockars' first two-goal game of the season and second of her career. … Erin Johnson-Buscemi (Medina, Minn.) stopped 25 shots in her first collegiate start Friday. … With her two goals Friday, Klockars pushed her team-leading total to six. She also shares the team lead in points (7) with Katie Cachey (Orland Park, Ill.). … Francie Steger (Chicago, Ill.) leads the team in assists with four. …  Two of the Cardinals' three goals vs. St. Catherine Friday were power play goals, giving SMU 11 power play goals for the season. SMU scored just nine power play goals all season last year. … St. Catherine's one goal Friday were the fewest allowed by SMU this season and the fewest since the Cardinals battled Hamline to a 1-1 tie on Jan. 19, 2008. … SMU's 5-0 loss to the Wildcats in Saturday's game marked the fourth time this season the Cardinals have been held without a goal. SMU has been held to one goal or less in eight of their nine losses. … SMU's win and loss vs. St. Catherine was the first time this season the Cardinals have split a two-game series. SMU has been swept in three of their four two-game series (4-1, 3-0 vs. Gustavus, 5-2, 2-0 vs. Concordia and 5-1, 6-0 vs. Adrian), while sweeping Hamline (5-3 and 5-2). …  Prior to Friday's 3-1 win, SMU had scored five goals in each of its first three wins — a 5-4 victory over UW-Eau Claire, and 5-3 and 5-2 victories vs. Hamline. … SMU's 5-3 win at Hamline on Dec. 5 was the first — and only — road victory of the season for the Cardinals, who are now 3-15-2 on the road in their last two seasons.

Ole Notes: Tuesday's loss to UW-Stevens Point snapped the Oles' five-game unbeaten streak (3-0-2). … The loss to the Pointers was also the second time this season the Oles have been shut out. St. Olaf was also blanked by Gustavus 6-0 on Nov. 21. … St. Olaf has been held to two goals or less in five of its six losses, with the lone exception a season-opening 7-5 loss to Concordia (Wis.) on Nov. 7. … St. Olaf has played four overtime games this season. The Oles beat St. Catherine 2-1 on Jan. 11, while also tying UW-Stevens Point (1-1), Concordia-Moorhead (5-5) and Hamline (4-4). … Erin McNamara stopped a season-high 48 shots in the Oles' loss to UW-Stevens Point Tuesday. … McNamara and Jessica Ptachick have shared the goaltending duties this season, combining for a 3.23 goals-against-average and a .907 save percentage. … Lauren Tomford and Kim McClintick share the team lead in goals with eight each, while Tomford also boasts team highs in assists (8) and points (16). … St. Olaf is 5-1-0 when scoring first, and winless (0-5-3) when its opponent scores first.
