WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's soccer team, coming off a 4-0 loss at Concordia on Saturday in Moorhead, Minn., returns home Friday, playing host to Macalester in a 7 p.m. conference contest at Ochrymowycz Field.

Last Action: The Cardinals surrendered two goals in each half – three by the Cobbers' Riley McGlynn – as SMU dropped a 4-0 decision to Concordia in Moorhead, Minn., Saturday. Macalester, meanwhile, has also been off since last Satuday, when the Scots came out on the short end of a 2-1 overtime decision vs. Bethel in Arden Hills, Minn.

SMU Cardinal Notes: SMU GK Jon Szafranski (Barrington, Ill.) stopped five Cobber shots in Saturday's loss. The five-save effort snapped a streak of three straight games in which the Cardinal senior stopped 10 or more shots. … Szafranski enters today's game with a 1.67 goals-against-average and an .800 save percentage. He has now stopped 76 shots this season, pushing his school-record career saves total to 381. … Steve Boussie (Troy, Mich.) scored SMU's lone goal vs. the Gusties on Sept. 29, moving the Cardinal junior into a tie for the team lead in goals (3) with Ryan Rademacher (La Crosse, Wis.). … Boussie also leads the team in assists (3) and points (9). … Byran Neu's (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) game-winning, double-overtime goal vs. Lakeland on Sept. 27 was his first collegiate goal. …  SMU's 1-1 OT tie vs. Gustavus on Sept. 29 was the Cardinals' second straight overtime game and the third time in the last five games SMU went extra time. … SMU has played three overtime games in each of the last two seasons and are now 4-0-3 in their last seven overtime games and have not lost an OT game since a 3-2 setback vs. Macalester on Sept. 22, 2006. … The Cardinals snapped a five-game losing streak vs. the Gusties with Tuesday's tie. … SMU's 11 games have now included two own goals — one in SMU's favor, and Friday's that went against the Cardinals. … SMU has surrendered three penalty kick goals this season.
