Beth Spurrier stopped 23 of the 24 shots she faced Friday, leading Bethel to a 2-1 victory over SMU Friday night in Blaine, Minn. In the rematch, Madeline Lenz (White Bear Lake, Minn.) kicked out all 26 shots she faced to lead SMU to a 4-0 victory at the SMU Ice Arena on Saturday. … St. Thomas, meanwhile, swept its conference series against Hamline last weekend. A Year Ago: The Tommies dominated SMU in the teams' two-game conference series last year. # Cierra Lopis# (Macomb, Mich.) netted her first collegiate goal — a second-period tally that knotted the game at 1-1, but the Tommies responded with three unanswered goals to ice the 4-1 win in Mendota Heights, Minn., on Feb. 16. A day later, the Tommies scored two goals in the second period and three more in the third en route to a 5-0 victory at the SMU Ice Arena.
