Szafranski, who boasts a 1.87 goals-against-average, has now stopped 19 shots this season, pushing his school-record career saves total to 321. … Jacob Bina (West Salem, Wis.) netted his first collegiate goal vs. Bethel last Tuesday. … SMU's three goals this season have come from three different players — Bina, Steve Boussie (Troy, Mich.) and Jovenel D'Haiti (Evanston, Ill.). … Boussie also assisted on Bina's goal Tuesday to give him a team-leading three points. … After holding their first three opponents scoreless in the game's opening 45 minutes, the Cardinals have allowed four first-half goals in their last two games. … SMU won both of its games by shut out, while two of the team's three losses have also been by shutout.
