WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's soccer team, coming off a streak-snapping 2-0 nonconference victory over Marian Tuesday, is right back on the pitch Wednesday, playing host to Viterbo in a 7 p.m. nonconference game at Ochrymowycz Field.

Last Action: The Cardinals snapped a three-game losing streak Tuesday evening, getting first-half goals from Steve Boussie (Troy, Mich.) and Bobby Gas (Lake Zurich, Ill.) en route to a 2-0 nonconferece win over Marian Tuesday evening in Fond du Lac, Wis. Viterbo, meanwhile, has been off since Saturday, when the V-Hawks scored a pair of unanswered goals in the game's final 15 minutes to snap a 1-1 tie and lead them to a 3-1 win over St. Ambrose in Davenport, Iowa.

SMU Cardinal Notes: Steve Boussie (Troy, Mich.) scored his second goal of the season vs. the Sabres Tuesday, while Gas' first-half tally was his first of the season. … Juamaine Venter (Rochester, Minn.) assisted on both SMU goals vs. Marian Tuesday. It was the first multiple-point game of Venter's career. … GK Jon Szafranski (Barrington, Ill.) stopped all four shots he faced Tuesday in recording his third shutout of the season. It was also the seventh shutout of his career. … Szafranski, who now boasts a 1.55 goals-against-average, has now stopped 23 shots this season, pushing his school-record career saves total to 328. … SMU's five goals this season have come from four different players — Boussie (2), Gas, Jacob Bina (West Salem, Wis.) and Jovenel D'Haiti (Evanston, Ill.). … SMU has now won all three of its games by shut out, while two of the team's three losses have also been by shutout.

Viterbo V-Hawk Notes: After opening the season with back-to-back shutout wins over the University of Sioux Falls (6-0) and Holy Cross (3-0), the V-Hawks have dropped four of their last six games. … Viterbo has outscored its opponents 13-1 in its four wins, and has been outscored 12-2 in its four losses. … Saturday's 3-1 victory vs. St. Ambrose was the first V-Hawk win not by shutout. … James Lockley and Jamie Robertson each scored their team-leading four goals vs. St. Ambrose. Lockley also leads the team in assists (2) and points (10). … GK Josh Lines has played every minute in goal for the V-Hawks, posting a 1.62 goals-against-average and a .639 save percentage. … Eighteen of the 28 goals scored in Viterbo's first eight games have come in the second half (9 by Viterbo and 9 by the V-Hawks' opponents). …
