February 21, 2009: Playing in their final game of the season, the Cardinals raced out to an eight-point halftime lead, then held off a late Augsburg rally en route to an 82-75 conference win at the SMU Gym.

Saint Mary's Cardinal Notes: Chris Palmer (Faribault, Minn.), who had netted a career-best 21 points en route to his second straight double-double last Wednesday against St. Olaf, surpassed that career best on Saturday, knocking down 5 3-pointers en route to a 26-point effort in SMU's win over Concordia. … Palmer — who posted 13 points and 11 boards vs. St. Thomas last Monday and 21 points and 13 rebounds vs. St. Olaf last Wednesday — was one rebound short of his third straight double-double vs. Concordia. … Palmer has now led the team in rebounds in each of its last four games. … Lukas Holland (La Crosse, Wis.) and Will Wright (Chicago, Ill.) also scored in double figures vs. Concordia Saturday, finishing with 21 and 13 points, respectively. … Wright has now scored in double figures in 55 of his 60 collegiate games.
