ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University swimming and diving teams head to St. Paul for the third straight weekend, this time for a pair of events hosted by Macalester. The Cardinals and Scots square off in a 6 p.m. dual meet on Friday, then the two teams will take part in the 1 p.m. Maclaester Invitational on Saturday.

Rachel Steinkamp (Lakeville, Minn.) and
Liz Flynn (Mahtomedi, Minn.) picked up diving wins for the Cardinals last weekend. Steinkamp won the one-meter competition with a score of 168.07, while Flynn won the three-meter event with 188.55 points. … Flynn has now won the three-meter diving in each of the Cardinals' last two meets. She also finished second to Steinkamp in the one-meter. …
Anna Smaron (Maple Plain, Minn.) chipped in a second-place effort in the 200 breaststroke (2:42.60), while
Mark Ross (Dubuque, Iowa) led the way for the Cardinal men, placing fourth overall in the 200 backstroke (2:06.95) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (58.58).
