WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's basketball team, coming off a 74-66 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference setback to Concordia Saturday afternoon, close out their home schedule Wednesday evening, playing host to St. Olaf in a 7:30 p.m., conference showdown at the SMU Gym.

Saint Mary's Cardinal Notes: Will Wright (Chicago, Ill.) scored a team-high 21 points Saturday against Concordia. … Wright has now scored 10 or more points in all 23 games this season and 64 times in his 68 collegiate games. Wright has also scored 20 or more points eight times this season. … With his 21 points Saturday, Wright now boasts 1,307 career points and currently ranks ninth all-time in SMU career scoring. …
Lukas Holland (La Crosse, Wis.), who scored a team-high 22 points in SMU's 98-77 win over Hamline last Wednesday, pushed his career point total to 1,041 with seven points vs. Concordia Saturday. … Both Holland and Wright scored their 1,000th career point this season on SMU's home floor. …
Chris Palmer (Faribault, Minn.) chipped in 14 points vs. the Cobbers Saturday, marking the 13th straight time the SMU freshman has scored in double figures. Palmer also leads the team with six double-doubles this season, and has five other games with 10 or more points and nine rebounds. … The Cardinals erupted for a season-high 98 points in their conference win over Hamline last Wednesday. It was the most points scored by an SMU team since netting 99 in a 105-99 loss to Macalester during the 1994-95 season. It was also the most points in a win since the Cardinals netted 106 in beating Macalester 106-92 during the 1978-79 season. … After going five years without a game with five double-figure scorers, the Cardinals have now done it twice in a two-week span. …
