Saturday's win over Carleton marked the second time in four days that the Cardinals traveled to Northfield, Minn., and came away with a win. SMU defeated St. Olaf 67-64 last Wednesday. … The Cardinals held Carleton to just 45 points Saturday, the second-fewest points allowed by SMU this season. The Cardinals held Augsburg to a season-low 44 points in a 57-44 win on Dec. 1, 2010. …
Jess Miller (Carver, Minn.) — who extended her consecutive games started streak to 85 Saturday — scored a game-high 23 points against the Knights. The 23 points marked the fifth time in Miller's career that she has eclipsed the 20-point barrier and was just six points shy of her career-best 29-point effort against Gustavus on Dec. 7, 2009. …

Jessica Thone (Woodbury, Minn.) has now led the team in scoring in nine of the team's 10 games. … Miller enters Wednesday's game against St. Catherine averaging a team-best 12.5 ppg, while Stefely has a team-high 63 rebounds (6.3 rpg). … Thone and Stefely each recorded their first double-double of the season on Dec. 4 against Macalester. Thone scored 13 points and added 10 rebounds, while Stefely netted 10 points and hauled in 10 boards.
