Chris Palmer (Faribault, Minn.) turned in a record-setting performance in the Cardinals' 76-63 win over Macalester Saturday, as the SMU sophomore equaled the 54-year-old MIAC single-game record for free throws made with 21. Palmer finished 21-for-23 from the line en route to his game-high 31 points. … The 31-point effort vs. Macalester was the second 30-plus point performance for Palmer, who scored a season- and career-high 37 points in SMU's win over Bethel on Dec. 6. … Palmer also added 11 rebounds vs. Macalester for his 10th double-doubles this season — and 17 in his collegiate career. … Palmer enters tonight's game at Concordia leading the MIAC in scoring (19.2 ppg) and is second in rebounding (9.5 rpg).
