Saturday's game against Saint John's is the final road game of the regular-season for the Cardinals, who close out the season with home contests against Macalester next Tuesday and Augsburg next Saturday. … Wednesday's 0-0 tie against Viterbo marked the fourth overtime game of the season for the Cardinals — three of which have gone to a second overtime. … SMU's scoreless draw vs. the V-Hawks also marked the second time this season the Cardinals have battled to a 0-0 deadlock. SMU and North Central also ended 0-0 on Sept. 6. … SMU's other two overtime games have both been decided by 2-1 counts — a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Lake Forest on Sept. 1, and a 2-1 OT setback at Carleton on Sept. 12. … SMU is now 4-3-6 in its last 13 overtime games. … Eleven of SMU's 13 games have been decided by one goal or less. … Goalkeeper Chris Williams (Chicago, Ill.), who made his 25th straight start against Viterbo Wednesday, stopped all eight shots he faced in recording his third shutout of the season — and third shutout of his collegiate career. … Williams' eight-save effort vs. the V-Hawks marked the second straight game the senior has stopped eight shots and was the third time this year he finished with a season-high eight saves. … Williams, who has now stopped six or more shots seven times in 14 starts this season, enters Saturday's game at Saint John's with a 1.50 goals-against-average, while stopping 72 of the 94 shots he's faced this season. … With his goal against Carleton on Oct. 12, Jacob Bina (West Salem, Wis.) moved into a share of the team lead in goals (3) with Juamaine Venter (Rochester, Minn.). … Kameron McKeeth (Woodstock, Ga.) picked up the assist on Bina's goal against Carleton, giving the junior a team-leading four assists this season. … McKeeth's four assists are a single-season career high and give him six assists in his three years as a Cardinal. … SMU's three goals vs. Concordia on Oct. 1 were a season high. … The Cardinals have scored six of their 10 goals in the first half.

Saturday's game against Saint Mary's is the final home game of the season for the Johnnies, who close out the regular-season with games at Hamline on Tuesday and at Concordia on Saturday. … The Johnnies' 4-2 loss to St. Thomas snapped SJU's season-high three-game winning streak. … Wednesday's loss to UST was just the second home loss of the season for the Johnnies, who are 4-2-0 on their home turf. … Two of Saint John's six losses have come in overtime — and both were 2-1 losses. SJU lost to Carleton 2-1 in overtime on Sept. 17, and in their next contest seven days later, the Johnnies fell to Gustavus 2-1 in double-overtime. …Five of SJU's seven wins have been decided by one goal — including all three during their recent three-game winning streak. … Senior Sam Hautman netted his first collegiate goal, while David Wee added his second of the season, to account for the Johnnies' two goals vs. St. Thomas Wednesday. … Michael Coborn enters Saturday's game against Saint Mary's as the Johnnies' leader in all three offensive categories with eight goals, 10 assists and 26 points. … Ryan Brutger and Mike Sikich have shared the goalkeeping duties for the Johnnies, with the duo combining to post a 1.90 goals-against-average, while stopping 86 of the 111 shots they've faced this season. …  SJU has outscored its opponents 11-9 in the first half, but have been outscored 16-14 after halftime.
