ST. PETER, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's hockey team closes out its season on Saturday, as the Cardinals travel to Gustavus for the second game of their two-game MIAC series vs. the Gusties. Puck drops at 7 p.m. at the Don Roberts Ice Arena.

The Cardinals' 4-3 win over Gustavus Friday marked the second time in three games that the Cardinals have posted a 4-3 victory — SMU beat Saint John's 4-3 to open their MIAC series last weekend. … Friday's effort was also the fourth time in their last five games that the Cardinals scored three goals or more. … SMU's four goals against Gustavus Friday came from four different players — Nick Nagel (Andover, Minn.), Tom Healy (Rolling Meadows, Ill.), Kevin Wentland (Columbia Heights, Minn.) and Mike Schaber (Blaine, Minn.). … With his second-period goal on Friday, Healy has now scored in four of the team's last five games. … Wentland's second-period tally, meanwhile, was his team-leading 12th of the season.
