The Tommies enter Wednesday's MIAC opener having not played in nine days. UST opened the season with a 2-0 home loss to Clarke (Iowa) and a 2-1 win over Northwestern. … Mike Hutton scored two goals in the win at Northwestern and now has 29 goals in 51 career games. The Tommies are 21-3-1 in games when he's scored a point. In addition to being a three-time All-MIAC soccer performer, Hutton is also UST's school-record holder at 800 meters and a two-time All-American in track and field. … Hutton is one of UST's three returning first-team All-MIAC honorees. He joins fellow senior Angel Riera, and sophomore Nick Rapisarda. Riera was a repeat All-MIAC honoree after scoring four goals for the second year in a row. He has 21 career points. Rapisarda was one of only three freshmen among the 38 players honored. He scored a team-best six goals in a 14-point 2010 season. … The Tommies are looking to rebound from a strange 7-8-3 finish in 2010. UST dropped six one-goal decisions, including three games lost in overtime, and had a streak of consecutive MIAC playoff trips end at three.
