WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's hockey team gets another shot at St. Catherine on Saturday, as the Cardinals host the Wildcats in the second game of their two-game MIAC series at the SMU Ice Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m.

November 16, 2012: After picking up a pair of one-goal wins over Hamline the previous weekend, the Cardinals found themselves involved in another one-goal decision in their opening game of a two-game conference series against St. Catherine. This time around, however, the Cardinals came out on the short end, as St. Catherine scored three unanswered goals and held off SMU 3-2 at the SMU Ice Arena
November 17, 2012: After holding its first five opponents scoreless in the first period, SMU surrendered three first-period goals against St. Catherine in the teams' rematch at Drake Arena — and the Cardinals never recovered, in falling to St. Catherine 4-1 in St. Paul, Minn.

Up Next:
Saturday's game against St. Catherine is the final game of the first semester for the Cardinals, who are not scheduled to play against until Jan. 5-6, when they travel to Lake Forest, Ill., for a pair of nonconference games against Lake Forest. … St. Catherine is also now off until after the holidays, as the Wildcats won't return to action until Jan. 3-4, when they travel to Middleton, Conn., for a pair of nonconference games against Wesleyan University.
