WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University track and field teams hit the track on Saturday, as the Cardinals host the nine-team Saint Mary's Open at the SMU Track and Field Complex.

The Cardinals' Last Action:
Coco Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) and Maya Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) posted sixth- and eighth-place finishes in the shot put and hammer throw, respectively, to lead the SMU women at the non-team-scored Hamline Twilight in St. Paul, Minn., on Wednesday. The SMU men, meanwhile, have been off since last Sunday, when Ryan Winegardner (Northfield, Minn.) and Aaron Haley (Plainview, Minn.) chipped in seven-place efforts to pace the Cardinals at the Phil Esten Challenge in La Crosse, Wis.

The Saint Mary's Open — A Year Ago:
Jake Traxler won the 3,000 steeplechase (9:34.79), while McGuire (Rochester, Minn.) finished first in the 10,000 (33:34.10), and Peter Borash (Bowlus, Minn.) and John Soucheray (Woodbury, Minn.) were second in the 800 (1:56.75) and 5,000 (15:46.71), respectively, to pace the SMU men, while Rebecca Krueger (Ashland, Wis.), Regina Quandt (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Coco Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) all recorded eighth-place showings to lead the way for the SMU women.

The Cardinals take part in another mid-week event next Wednesday in St. Paul, Minn., as the SMU men compete at the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bear Twilight, while the Cardinal women are across town at the St. Thomas Tommie Twilight.
