WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's soccer team's offense entered Wednesday's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game against Hamline in dire need of a jump-start.

Blake Dimock (Burlington, Wash.).
Dimock scored his first collegiate goal in the game's 21st minute—the Saint Mary's first goal in their last five games—and the Cardinals made it stand up, blanking the visiting Pipers 1-0 at Ochrymowycz Field.
Wednesday's contest, the final home game of the regular season for the Cardinals, was a defensive battle, as the two teams combined for six shots on goal—including just one in the game's opening 45 minutes.
Fortunately for the Cardinals, that one shot on goal came off the foot of Dimock, who rifled a shot past HU goalkeeper Derrick Mora to give Saint Mary's all the offense it would need.
Nate Levy (Byron, Minn.) did his part, as the Cardinal goalkeeper recorded his first collegiate shutout, stopping both Hamline shots. Mora, meanwhile, finished with three saves in goal for the Pipers.
The Cardinals (2-7-0 MIAC, 6-10-1 overall) close out their 2014 schedule on Saturday, traveling to St. Paul, Minn., for a 7:30 p.m. conference game against Macalester.
