January 26, 2013: SMU had so much fun scoring three goals in its 3-2 win over Augsburg in the first game of their two-game series, the Cardinals decided to do it again in the rematch. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, three goals wasn't good enough to get a second straight victory — but it was good enough to earn SMU a 3-3 tie and three of a possible four points in the MIAC standings.

The Cardinals are back on their home ice next weekend, as SMU hosts Concordia in a pair of MIAC contests.
