Bryan Ortman (Chicago, Ill.) finished fifth in the triple jump, Jacob Hagen-Erickson (Austin, Minn.) placed fifth in the long jump and Maya Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) was fifth in the hammer throw to lead the way for the Cardinals at Saturday's UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational.

Ortman uncorked a leap of 11.96 meters in the triple jump, while Hagen-Erickson added a jump of 6.31 meters in the long jump, and Booker delivered a lifetime best throw of 46.46 meters in the hammer throw, while also placing 10th in the shot put (11.20 meters).

Other women's highlights including Shauna Stephens (Norwood, Minn.) placing 10th in the 5,000 (21:00.49) and Katie Stolz (Forest Lake, Minn.) adding a 17th in the 1,500 (4:58.15).

On the men's side, Phil Emmerich (Mondovi, Wis.) chipped in a ninth in javelin (35.86 meters) and Gus Wiggert (La Crosse, Wis.) added a 10th in the shot put with a throw of 12.82 meters.
