Meet ResultsST. PAUL, Minn. — The Hamline Invitational was the final "tune-up" for the Saint Mary's University track and field teams before next weekend's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, and
Abi Osborne (Winthrop, Minn.) made the most of it.
Osborne continued her stellar season in the javelin, as the sophomore uncorked a throw of 36.37 meters to place second and lead the way for the Cardinals at the non-team-scored event.
Laura Schommer (Hutchinson, Minn.) had a busy day, clocking a time of 12.86 meters to place 10th in the 100, while stopping the clock in 26.11 for a 16th-place effort in the 200.
Maya Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) chipped in a 10th-place showing in the hammer throw, delivering a throw of 45.60 meters.
The Cardinals, who were not at full strength due to finals, will be back in action next Friday and Saturday, traveling to St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., for the regular season-ending conference championships.
