WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's soccer team almost got its 2014 season Friday evening.
 
Almost — Mother Nature, however, had other ideas.
 
Thanks to a thunderstorm that moved into the Winona area around 5 p.m. — and wouldn't leave — the Cardinals home-opener against North Central (Minn.) was postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. at Ochrymowycz Field.
