WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's hockey team steps out of conference play on Friday, as the Cardinals entertain Lake Forest in a 3 p.m. nonconference contest at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena.

The Foresters' sweep of Finlandia on Dec. 5-6 pushed their winning streak to a season-high four straight. … After back-to-back losses at Adrian to open the season, the Foresters have gone 7-1-1 in their last nine games. … Six of Lake Forest's seven wins have come at home—the Foresters are 6-0-1 at Alumni Memorial Rink. … Lake Forest has scored five or more goals in six of its seven wins this season—including a season-high 10-goal outburst in the Foresters' 10-2 rout of Finlandia on Dec. 6. … Morgan Pope heads into Friday's game against Saint Mary's leading the team in points with 14.
