• Ross Kinderman (Onalaska, Wis.) broke the school record in the 110 hurdles at last week's Lee Krough Invitational, stopping the clock in 15.19. … Jovan Newsum (Glendale Heights, Ill.) picked up his second first-place finish in as many weeks last Saturday at the Lee Krough Invite. Newsum—who won the 5,000 at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational on April 3 in a time of 15:26.76—finished first in the 1,500 at the Gustavus meet with a winning time of 4:07.70. … Jacob Hagen-Erickson (Austin, Minn.) equaled Kinderman's second-place effort with a leap of 6.42 meters in the long jump last Saturday. …Tyler Kircher (Cashton, Wis.) was third in the hammer throw (47.36 meters), while Ryan Buchmeier (St. Paul, Minn.) and Bryan Ortman (Chicago, Ill.) chipped in fourths in the pole vault (3.11 meters) and triple jump (12.71 meters), respectively. … Joey Domine (Fountain City, Wis.) added a fifth in the pole vault (3.11 meters), with Brandon Krogman (Owatonna, Minn. | 400 / 53.32) and Morris Dennis (Elk River, Minn. | 100 / 11.32) adding fifths, and Dennis (200 / 23.05) and Kinderman (high jump / 1.70 meters) placing sixth. … Maria Missurelli (Franklin, Wis.) and Laura Schommer (Hutchinson, Minn.) led the way for the Cardinal women at last Saturday's Lee Krough Invitational, as Missurelli was fourth in pole vault (3.30 meters), and Schommer placed sixth in the 100 (12.87) and seventh in the 200 (26.94). … Alicia Berkenes (Buffalo, Minn.) chipped in an eighth in 1,500 (5:18.60). … The Cardinals are coming off an indoor season in which they broke six school records at the MIAC Indoor Championships. … Kinderman broke his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles, stopping the clock in 8.56 seconds, while Dennis equaled Kinderman's third-place, all-conference performance in the 400 at the indoor conference championships—also in record-setting fashion—stopping the clock in 50.18, and shattering the seven-year-old mark of 50.83, set by John Kelly in 2008. … Missurelli (pole vault, 3.32 meters), Schommer (60, 8.08), and Krogman (600, 1:25.30) also broke school records at the conference indoor championships. … Krogman, Dennis and Kinderman also teamed with Tyler Fiebig (Baraboo, Wis.) to rewrite the Cardinal record book with a sixth-place time of 3:29.36 in the 4x400 relay.
