ST. JOSEPH, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's basketball team hits the road for a pair of games at the Saint Benedict Tournament this weekend. The Cardinals square off against UW-Stout at 4 p.m. on Saturday, before returning to the court for a 2 p.m. match with Martin Luther a day later.

The Blue Devils fell to Augsburg 79-77 in their season-opener on Tuesday, and are scheduled to play Saint Mary's, Saint Benedict, Hamline, and St. Catherine over the next nine days. UW-Stout also has MIAC foes Gustavus, Bethel, and Carleton on its schedule. … Bailey Diersen scored 17 points to lead four Blue Devils in double figures against Augsburg on Tuesday.
