MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to action this weekend, taking part in the two-day Jean Freeman Invitational at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Grace VanBeest (Flossmoor, Ill.) led the way for the Cardinal women at the Gustavus Grace Goblirsch Invitational on Nov. 19, placing fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:40.12), while also adding an eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.27) and a 12th in the 200 IM (2:33.30). … Reese Galewski (Winona, Minn.) chipped in a sixth in the 200 butterfly (2:32.86) and a seventh in the 100 butterfly (1:05.16) at the Gustavus event. … Joe Tonda (St. Paul, Minn.) posted the team's top individual finish at the Grace Goblirsch with a third-place time of 4:42.83 in the 400 IM, while also adding a fourth in the 200 IM (2:08.39), and an 11th in the 100 backstroke (59.69). … Matt Clayton (Forest Lake, Minn.) chipped in a fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.75) and an eighth in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.51). … Lucas Gerads (St. Cloud, Minn.) tallied an eighth in the 100 butterfly (58.08) and a 10th in the 200 butterfly (2:17.38). … Nick Sawchuk (Rochester, Minn.) added a 15th-place time of 2:08.05 in the 200 freestyle.
