ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's basketball team closes out its regular-season schedule on Saturday, as the Cardinals head to St. Thomas' Schoenecker Arena for a 3 p.m. Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference showdown.

The MIAC Playoff Picture:
• The top five spots in next week's six-team MIAC Playoffs have been set—St. Thomas (15-2) is the top seed, followed by Saint Mary's (14-3), Gustavus (13-4), Concordia (12-5), and Bethel (11-6). St. Thomas and Saint Mary's will receive first-round bye and host semifinal games on Thursday, Feb. 25. No. 4 Concordia will host No. 5 Bethel in one quarterfinal game on Tuesday, while No. 6 Gustavus will entertain the sixth seed—either Augsburg or Saint Benedict depending on Saturday's outcomes—in the other. The highest remaining seed will travel to Saint Mary's, with the lowest remaining seed heading to St. Thomas

• The Cardinals head into Saturday's regular-season finale against St. Thomas have won two straight and five of their last six. … Wednesday's 64-48 victory over Hamline was Saint Mary's 20th win of the season—marking the third time in the last four years Saint Mary's has reached the 20-win plateau. … Two of the Cardinals' four losses this season have come against nationally ranked teams—UW-Stevens Point and St. Thomas. … This year's senior class—Bridget Pethke (New London, Wis.), Micaela Meredith (Bloomington, Minn.), and Haley Trom (Hampton, Minn.)—will leave Saint Mary's as the winningest class in program history, heading into the final week of the regular-season having amassed an 84-22 overall record, along with one conference regular-season title, four MIAC Playoff appearances, and an NCAA national tournament berth. … Last Saturday's win over St. Olaf was the final regular-season home game for the Cardinals, who improved to 9-2 on their home court this season, while going 10-2 on the road. … The Cardinals are 44-5 at the Saint Mary's Gym over the past four years. … For the second game in a row, Pethke led the team in scoring Wednesday against Hamline, pouring in 16 points. • With Wednesday's victory over St. Olaf, the Tommies locked up a share of the MIAC's regular-season title. … The Tommies have won either the MIAC regular-season or playoff championship in each of the last seven seasons under coach Ruth Sinn. … St. Thomas—ranked No. 8 in both the USA Today Sports and D3hoops.com Polls—pushed its winning streak to 11 straight with Wednesday's win over St. Olaf. … St. Thomas has won 13 of its last four since dropping back-to-back games to St. Catherine and then-eighth-ranked Wheaton on Dec. 12 and Dec. 29, respectively. … Katie Stone equaled her career high with 21 points against St. Olaf on Wednesday.
