Jovan Newsum shattered the school mark—set by teammate
Aaron Haley at the same event in 2014—stopping the clock in 32:04.45 to finish sixth overall. And Newsum wasn't the only person in a record-breaking mood, as
Maria Missurelli and
Morris Dennis also etched their names in the Cardinal record book. Dennis shattered the Cardinal record in the 400 with a second-place time of 48.54, while Missurelli cleared a record-setting 3.25 meters in the pole vault to finish sixth overall.
