• Wednesday's game against Saint John's is the sixth home game in the last seven contests for the Cardinals. … For the second game in a row, the Cardinals put an end to a lengthy losing streak last Saturday. Just three days after snapping a 27-game conference losing streak with a 71-64 win over Concordia last Wednesday, the Cardinals halted a 35-game road losing streak against Gustavus, beating the Gusties 86-81. It was Saint Mary's first win in St. Peter, since beating GAC 86-82 in overtime during the 1982-83 season. …
Eli Cave (St. Paul, Minn.) and
Kareem Anthony-Bello (Chicago, Ill.) each eclipsed the 20-point barrier against Gustavus last Saturday. Cave tossed in a game-high 29 points, while Anthony-Bello chipped in a career-best 21.
