Gordy Paulman (Deforest, Wis.), and Matthew Boone (Mindoro, Wis.) picked up Saint Mary's lone first-place finish at last Friday's St. Thomas Showcase, stopping the clock in 1:33.24. …
Desmond Steward (Bayside, Wis.) and
Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.) also had solid outings at the St. Thomas Showcase, earning top-five finishes in their respective events. Steward finished third in the triple jump (13.86m) and seventh in the long jump (6.53m), while Lichttenegger finished fifth in the 60 (7.17)—beating out 36 other racers. … Alleman, Boone,
Kody Michaels (Stoddard, Wis.), and
Brandon Krogman (Owatonna, Minn.) teamed to place third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:29.86 at the St. Thomas Showcase, while, on the women's side,
Alicia Berkenes (Buffalo, Minn.) finished fifth in the 1000 (3:20.77) and
Maria Missurelli (Franklin, Wis.) took fifth in the pole vault (3.11m). …
Becca Dup (Albert Lea, Minn.) collected three first-place finishes to pace the Cardinals at the Luther Alumni Duel on Feb. 3. The Cardinal junior broke the school record in the triple jump with a leap of 11.74 meters—which was not only the best jump in school history, but also the fourth-best showing in the NCAA this season. … Dup has now broken the triple jump record in the last two meets she's competed in, having recorded a then-school best 11.03m at the UW-Stout Warren Bowlus Invitational on Jan. 27. … Along with her first in the triple jump, Dup also won the long jump (5.40m) and the 55 (7.57)—while also joining

Brandon Krogman (Owatonna, Minn.) in the 600 meter (1:23.06), and
Austin O'Hare (Rushford, Minn.) in the 3,000 (8:43.45). … The Cardinal men recorded 21 Top 3 finishes—including a first-place triple by
Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.)—while the Saint Mary's women put together six Top 5 efforts at the season-opening Saint Mary's Early Birdinal at the Gostomski Fieldhouse on Jan. 13. … Lichttenegger's 6.84-meter leap in the long jump and Krogman's 2:44.10 in the 1,000 at the Saint Mary's Early Birdinal on Jan. 13 were both school records. … Dup and
David Kemper (Woodbury, Minn.) each competed in their first-ever NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships in 2017, with Dup placing 17th in the triple jump, while Kemper was 12th in the pole vault. … Dup is also the reigning MIAC Indoor and Outdoor long jump champion.
