ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University track and field teams close out the indoor portion of their 2018 season on Friday and Saturday, as the Cardinals take part in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, hosted by Macalester.

• Augsburg, Bethel, Carleton, Concordia, Gustavus, Hamline, Macalester, St. Catherine, Saint John's, Saint Benedict, Saint Mary's, St. Olaf, St. Thomas

MIAC Championships—A Year Ago
Men: St. Thomas rolled to a 33rd-straight MIAC Indoor title with 179 total points—more than 59 points over the rest of the field. St. Olaf had another strong showing with a second-place finish and 120 points. Bethel rounded out the top three with an even 100 points. Carleton scored 79 to finish fourth, and Hamline and Saint John's tied for fifth with 63 points each. Concordia was seventh with 55, Augsburg (42) edged Gustavus (41) by a point for eighth and Saint Mary's (26), and Macalester (11) rounded out the final men's scores | Complete Recap
Women: Host St. Thomas collected its 18th straight MIAC Indoor title—and the 30th in the 33-year history of the event—totaling 195.5 points, more than 94 points clear of the rest of the field. Saint Benedict placed second with 101.33 points. Carleton scored 79 points to edge both Bethel (75.5) and Macalester (72.5) for third, as that trio rounded out the top five. Hamline (67.33) barely edged St. Olaf (64) for sixth and Concordia wasn't far back in eighth (60.83).
