WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's golf team closed out the spring season on a high note Sunday, getting team-best 85s from
Brett Jackson (Edmonton, Alberta) and
Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) during the final round of the Saint Mary's Invitational at The Bridges Golf Course.
Jackson closed out the 36-hole tournament as the team-leader with a 166 (81-85), two shots in front of Galewski (83-85).
Tyler Dove (Hudson, Wis.), who opened with a team-low 81 on Saturday, added an 89 Sunday for a 170 total, while
Kyle Brodt (Roseville, Minn. / 90-87—177) and
Blair Sanders (Lee's Summit, Mo. / 88-94—182) rounded out the Cardinals' lineup.
Augsburg, the opening-round leader, added a 319 to its Day 1 304 to win the event by 42 strokes over runner-up St. Olaf. (334-331—665). UW-Superior (335-336—671) finished third, with Saint Mary's (333-346—679) and St. Olaf #2 (345-356—701) rounding out the top five.
